Terrible Two's and Toothbrushes

Hannah is still teething, poor girl. She's been waking up in the middle of the night and it's hard for her to go to sleep at night. Very hard to calm her down, even to give her cherry-flavored children's Tylenol. Scottie seems to have all of his teeth. We're planning to schedule their 1st dental exam in May.

Scottie has a new trend: spontaneous tantrums. It must be those Terrible Two's. He's only 22 months old, but that's my only explanation.

Another new development: toothbrushes. Yep. So, how do you teach a baby how to brush her teeth when all she wants to do is chew it?

Dylan Thomas is born!

Pauline's sister, Amanda, had her baby boy yesterday, April 8th, at 7:11 p.m. CST. He was a big boy, weighing in at 10 lbs. 2 oz., and 22 1/4 inches (head was 13 1/4 cm.)

Amanda feels much better (and less swollen) today. She may go home with the baby as soon as tomorrow. She was in labor almost 11 or 12 hours!

She had to have a c-section. The baby began to move back up instead of down as her labor progressed; Dylan would have had to be taken out via c-section anyhow because he was so large (they had estimated just over 7 lbs. before delivery). Dylan will be circumsized tomorrow.

Her recovery period will be longer at home (8 weeks leave of absence). She can't wait to have a Dr. Pepper!

Poor Amanda. Amanda is in a labor and delivery suite, waiting for the "go" sign. She's swollen, uncomfortable, tired and hungry.
