The Santa Saga

Who would have thought First Christmas photos with Santa would be so difficult to get? As you can see... Scott and Hannah loved Santa (well, Scott loved Santa, Hannah loved the camera)...

Now... getting that cute photo wasn't easy. Our first attempt was back in early December. The entire family went to a local mall with a reputation for the best Santa in the Twin Cities. We waited for 3 + hours but got a great photo of the twins and Santa. On a whim, we signed up for a "Breakfast with Santa" contest - and won!

We got a few more photos with Santa at the breakfast and had lots of fun.

One weekend I was visiting my parents with the kids. Pauline swears she gave me the photos - but I don't remember that! It didn't matter... I was officially the guy responsible for not having any pictures of the kids
with Santa during their first Christmas.

We couldn't let that happen - could we? No... so I left work early Friday the 22nd. I picked up the kids from daycare and rushed back to the mall. When we jumped in line at 5pm we were told Santa was booked solid until 10 pm that night and turned away!

At 5:30 the next morning, Pauline and I got up, got the twins ready, and headed out the door. We were standing in line at 7:30 and only had to wait an hour to get the photo you see above.

It wasn't easy - but the results (as you can see) were well worth it!

Once a month is never enough

Bad parents... bad bad parents. Pauline and I want to apologize for the folks who read this blog. We haven't been the most diligent posters recently. We hope to have that corrected soon ;-)

Now... the Super Mueller Wonder Twins 6 month update! Scott and Hannah have had a busy December. They had to get their picture taken with Santa (more on that soon). Of course there was Christmas at home... with Grandma and Grandpa Conrad... Nanna and Pop-pop Mueller. They've also had a few doctor visits.

Scott is now officially the bigger of the two - he's 26 inches long and 15 lbs, 6 oz. Hannah is about 25 1/2 inches long and 15lbs, 2 oz. They're growing up so quickly! They're already wearing their 6 month clothes and Scott could be wearing 9 month stuff by next month.

I don't want the first post back to be too large, so that's all for now. I'll have a cute Santa photo posted shortly.
