What's up, Doc?

Today was another normal trip to the doctor. At 26.5 weeks I look like I'm at 32. I finally weigh my pre-pregnancy weight.

One little pet peeve is that I had to wait a half-hour before I got a room and another half-hour before the doctor came in. When you're tired, pregnant and hungry, the wait is even worse. But, the babies are healthy, and I should be grateful.

Between 26 and 28 weeks it's normal to have a gestational diabetes test. They give you a sugary carbonated beverage and have you wait an hour before they take bloodwork. The Nurse's Aide expected me to be ready for that with no warning! Since I hadn't eaten that morning, I said no. I'll get it next time, Monday the 15th. Looking forward to it... kind of... After 30 weeks I'll have appointments 1 week apart at the hospital; they'll hook me up to a monitor to check the babies before my normal check-up.

This Wednesday (May 3rd) is our next ultrasound. Yay! I'm guessing the babies are now both horizontal. (Hannah is on top bunk and Scott's on the bottom!) Boy, has Scott been kicking and kicking! After I get home it's usually 1 to 3 hours of kicking and punching when I'm in bed. I play solitaire... lots of solitaire. Hannah has still been doing her push-ups but I am beginning to get used to them.
